Léger Jean-Baptiste Noël Veyssière


Veyssière, Léger Jean Baptiste Noël (d. 1800), clergyman, was a Recollet priest who, in 1769, abjured the Roman Catholic faith, and became Protestant minister at Three Rivers, Quebec. He remained in this charge until his death, at Three Rivers, on May 26, 1800 . See J. E. Roy, Les premiers pasteurs Protestants au Canada (Bull. rech. hist., 1897).
