Managing Director, The Fire Insurance Co. of Canada, 142 Notre Dame Street W., Montreal ; Manager for Canada, Nationale Fire Insurance Co., of Paris; Chief Agent for Canada, Underwriters at American Lloyds of New York ; Chief Agent for Canada, American Equitable Assn. Co. of New York. Born St. Jean , Que., July 1, 1864, son of Joseph Edward Clement and Emma ( Dorval ) Clement. Educated: Collège de Montréal and St. Margaret's Academy. Commenced career in insurance business with the Phoenix of London Ins. Co., in 1883; founded and organized the Mount Royal Assurance Co., at Montreal , 1902; resigned, 1918, to organize the Fire Insurance Co. of Canada. Married Rachel Rocher, daughter of Bartholomew Rocher, Registrar for County of L'Assomption , 1888; has one son and three daughters. Clubs: Union Interallié of Paris; Montreal; St. Denis; Reform; Laval Golf; Automobile Club; Grande Baie Fishing. Roman Catholic. Residence: 17 Ainslie Avenue , Outremont, Que.
