Joseph-Charles Franchère

 

Franchère, Joseph Charles (1866-1921), painter, was born in Montreal, Quebec, on March 4, 1866. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France ; and while in France won several honourable mentions. In 1902, after his return to Canada, he was elected an associate of the Royal Canadian Academy. He died at Montreal on May 12, 1921.
