Joseph (Joe) Bastien

 

Manager, Holt, Renfrew & Co., Ltd., Quebec City. Born Indian Lorette, P.Q., Dec. 24, 1884, son of Maurice Bastien and Adeline Théberge. Educated: Commercial Academy, Quebec . On leaving school, entered the services of Holt, Renfrew & Co., Ltd., as a junior Clerk in the Wholesale Department, graduating from one department to another until exactly twenty years later he became Manager of the largest branch of the Company, which was founded in Quebec City, eighty-seven years ago. The Quebec Branch conducts a large wholesale department, as well as a large raw fur department, and are the largest raw fur dealers in Canada. Married Irene Knight, Sept., 1909; has two sons and four daughters. Recreations: Fishing, hunting and golf. Independent. Catholic.
