Thomas Fyshe

 

Fyshe, Thomas (1845-1911), banker, was born in East Lothian, Scotland, on October 3, 1845. He came to Canada as a young man, and entered the Bank of British North America. He became cashier of the Bank of Nova Scotia; and in 1897 he was appointed joint general manager of the Merchants Bank of Canada, but resigned in 1905. He died at Montreal on November 26, 1911. He was the author of a pamphlet entitled Letters on municipal taxation (Halifax, 1880).
