Thomas Aston Coffin

 

Coffin, Thomas Aston (1754-1810), loyalist, was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 31, 1754, and was educated at Harvard University (B.A., 1772): At the end of the American revolution he was private secretary to Sir Guy Carleton; and during the tatter's second governorship of Canada, from 1786 to 1794, he was civil secretary and comptroller of accounts in bower Canada. He died in London on May 31, 1810.
