Educated: Private schools; College Carnôt, Fontainebleau, France; Northampton College of Engineering; M.E.I.C.; P.E.Q.; Member, American Society Mechanical Engineers. Served apprenticeship with John I. Thornycroft & Co., Ltd., 1904-07; C.P.R., Engineering Department, 1908-10; Draughtsman with Babcock & Wilcox, Ltd., 1910-11; Canadian Fairbanks Morse Co., Ltd., Design, Engineering & Sales Departments, 1911-14; established Cleaton Co., 1914, and in 1921, Inventions Ltd.; from 1919 to 1921, acted as Chief Engineer and Sales Manager, in Europe, for Diamond Power Specialty Corporation, of Detroit, Mich. Married Gertrude May Goad, Oct. 21, 1915; has one daughter. Clubs: Engineers'; Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club; Summerlea Golf; Canadian. Protestant.
