Mille Vaches

Mille Vaches, a village in Saguenay county, Quebec, on Mille Vaches bay, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence river, opposite Bic. The name is a French translation of the Indian name, which means "place where there are sea-cows", thousands of these animals formerly having frequented the bay, though now they are seldom seen.
