Of Taschereau, Roy, Cannon, Parent & Taschereau, Advocates, 70 St. Paul Street, Quebec, Que.; Director, Industrial Life Insurance Co.; Cie Maritime & Industrielle de Lévis. Born Arthabaskaville, Que., April 28, 1877, son of Lawrence John Cannon, judge of the Superior Court of the Province of Quebec, and Aurélie (Dumoulin) Cannon. Educated: Commercial College, Arthabaskaville, Que.; Quebec Seminary; Laval University (Governor-General's medal); won Prince of Wales' Prize in competition with all Seminaries of the Province of Quebec, 1894. Alderman, Quebec, 1908-1916; Chairman, Quebec Finance Committee, and leader of Municipal Council, 1910-16; ex-President, Quebec Provincial Exhibition Commission; elected to Quebec Legislature for Québec-Centre, 1916; re-elected by acclamation, 1919. Appointed a Member of Commission to revise Statutes of the Province of Quebec of a permanent nature. Married Corinne Fitzpatrick, daughter of Right Hon. Sir Charles Fitzpatrick, P.C., G.C.M.G., April 20, 1904 ; has four sons and one daughter. Clubs: Garrison; Quebec Golf Club; Institut Canadien. Societies: K. of C.; Alliance Nationale. Liberal. Roman Catholic. Residence: 2 Ferland Street, Quebec. Que.
