James Bell Forsyth

 

Forsyth, James Bell (1803-1869), merchant and author, was born in Kingston, Upper Canada, in 1803, the son of Joseph Forsyth and Alicia Robins; and died at Quebec, Canada, in 1869. In 1828 he married Frances, daughter of the Hon. Matthew Bell, of Three Rivers; and by her he had two sons and two daughters. He was the author of A few months in the east; or, A glimpse of the Red, the Dead, and the Black Seas (Quebec, 1861).
