Embrun

 

Embrun, a village in Russell county, Ontario, on the Castor river, and on the Ottawa and New York Railway, 25 miles south-east of Ottawa. The district was first settled about 1850, and its inhabitants are now almost wholly French Canadians. See J. U. Forget and E. J. Auclair, Histoire de Saint-Jacques d'Embrun (Ottawa, 1910).
