Coteau-du-Lac, a village in Soulanges county, Quebec, on the north bank of the St. Lawrence river near Coteau rapids, a mile from the Rivière-Rouge station on the Canadian National Railway, and 11 miles east of the Ontario boundary. It is the centre of a prosperous agricultural district, and is popular, as a summer resort. The name comes from a hillock (coteau), on which the church is erected.
