Architect, 70 St. James Street, Montreal . Born at St. Sulpice (L'Assomption County, Quebec), Jan. 7th, 1868, son of Edouard Chaussé and Rose-de-Lima Rivest. Educated: St. Mary's Academy, Montreal; studied Architecture in the office of late Alphonse Raza, Montreal, and with the leading Architects of Chicago and Milwaukee. Was City Architect and Superintendent of Buildings of the City of Montreal during twenty years; Past President of the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects; Hon. Secretary for the last sixteen years of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada; Chairman of the Board of Assessors of the Towns of Montreal-North, Beauharnois, SainteThérèse. Author of the Building Inspectors Handbook, 1902, Code of Building Laws, Montreal , 1906, Supplement to Code of Building By-Laws, Montreal , 1913, etc. Honorary corresponding member of the National Association of Architects of the United States, France, Belgium, Spain, etc.; Municipal expert; Authority on Fire Prevention; has resumed his practice as Architect and Municipal Expert since 1918. Married Rose-de-Lima Renaud, Sept. 8th, 1894; has two sons, Marcel and Fernand. Societies: Knights of Columbus ; Alliance Nationale. Recreations: Country life and reading. Independent. Roman Catholic. Residence; 2158 Gouin Boulevard, Montreal-North, Que.
