For verbs ending in -IR
the present tense is conjugated in the following manner:
Attention! Note that only the endings of the first
and the second person plural are different in the conjugation of verbs
in -ER and that of verbs in -IR. All other persons have the same endings
in both groups. Also note that all first persons
singular of all three groups of verbs (-AR, -ER, -IR) end in -o
in the present, and that there are only two alternative endings for the
second person singular (-as for verbs in -AR and -es
for verbs in -ER and -IR), the third person singular (-a for
verbs in -AR and -e for verbs in -ER and -IR) and the third
person plural (-a for verbs in -AR and -e
for verbs in -ER and -IR). Here are some -IR verbs:
