Assistant General Counsel, Canadian National Railways, Montreal. Born Port Hope, Ont., Aug. 20th, 1864, son of His Honor Judge Duncan and Mary Chisholm. Educated: Port Hope High School; Toronto University (B.A., 1885). Called to Ontario Bar, 1888; created K.C., 1908; has appeared before the Privy Council in England; Asst. City Solicitor, Toronto, 1891; City Solicitor June, 1905; presented with cabinet of silver upon resignation, Oct. 11, 1909, to go into private practice; Member, Executive Committee, Ontario Municipal Union, 1907-1909; General Solicitor, G.T. Ry., July 15, 1913; present position Feb. 1, 1923. Married Gertrude Poster, daughter of James Poster, Guelph , Ont., 1894; has three sons and two daughters. Clubs: University; Thistle Curling; Kanawaki Golf; Montreal ; University, Toronto ; Rideau, Ottawa. Recreations: Golf, curling. Presbyterian. Residence: 35 Aberdeen Ave., Westmount, Que.
