Henry Leopold Doble

 

Director, Comptroller and Secretary-Treasurer, Canada Cement Co., Ltd., manufacturers of Portland Cement, Phillips Sq., Montreal. Born London, Eng., Aug. 16, 1875, son of Arthur and Louisa Doble. Educated: Wellesley School ; Toronto Collegiate Institute; North-western University, Chicago. Came to Canada, May, 1887; came to Quebec, Oct., 1909. Clerk, Canadian Bank of Commerce, Toronto and Winnipeg, 1892-97; General Bookkeeper, Deering Harvester Co., Chicago, 1897-1902; General Auditor, International Harvester Co., Chicago, 1902-09; Comptroller and Secretary-Treasurer, Canada Cement Co., Ltd., Montreal, 1909. Served with "K" Company, Q.O.R., as Private, 1894-97; served with "B" Company, 58th Westmount Rifles, as Lieutenant, 1915. Married Margery Abbott, daughter of Charles Abbott, June 27, 1906 ; has two daughters. Clubs: St. James's; Beaconsfield Golf; Thistle Curling; Art Gallery ; Canadian. Society: St. Paul 's Lodge, A.F. & A.M. No. 374. Recreations: Golf, curling. Anglican. Residence: 102 Westmount Boulevard, Westmount, Que.
