Alfred Forest

 

Of Forest, Lalonde & Coffin, Advocates, 35 St. James Street, Montreal. Born Rawdon, County of Montcalm, Que., June 8, 1881, son of Urgel and Eliza (Mousseau) Forest, descendant of Isaie Forest, of Arcadia, who came from France, 1778. Educated: Joliette College; Seminary of Montreal; Laval University. Vice-President, Law Students, Laval University, 1906. Called to the Bar, Jan. 15th, 1908; partner, present firm, since 1913; firm first formed, 1898, by Mr. Edmond Brossard joining with Hon. Sir P. E. LeBlanc K.C., Lieutenant-Governor, admitting Mr. Arthur Lalonde and Mr. F. G. Coffin, 1913. Declined nomination for County Montcalm, 1908. Was unsuccessful candidate for county of Montcalm-L'Assomption, 1921. Was Corporal, 85th Regiment, 1897. Married Hélène Jondreville, daughter of Charles Jondreville, Montreal, April 30th, 1913. Clubs: Canadian; Lafontaine; Cartier-Macdonald. Conservative. Roman Catholic. Residence: 1872 St. Urbain Street, Montreal.
