DeSOLA, Rev. A. D. Meldoca, Rabbi (deceased). Born Montreal, May 22, 1853, son of Rev. Abraham DeSola, LL.D., Professor at McGill University and Rabbi. Educated: Montreal. Held many positions in Charitable Organizations. First Vice-President of Orthodox Ministers' Association in New York ; Rabbi of Shearith Israel Synagogue for thirty-six years. Married Katherine de Sola, Aug. 3, 1889 ; has one son and one daughter. Recreations: Music, writing, composing music. Jewish.
