Newfoundland After the Cod Moratorium

Not all elements of the Cod Moratorium are depressing and sad. The Moratorium has provided the opportunity to explore other avenues from the sea to support people. Species of fish that had previously been ignored are now successfully commercially exploited, providing a decent living for an increasing number of fishermen from Newfoundland.

The photo above shows men busy at lobster fishing.
