Calvary Memorial United Church, Little Catalina, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, was completed in 1914. The master builder of the church was Jacob Johnson who died in 1957. The framing and timbers were cut in nearby woods, and the ladies of the community raised six hundred dollard in funds. Through hard work and free labour, the church was completed in twenty months with less than seven hundred dollars debt which was quickly repaid. The church remains in excellent condition today and continues to serve the religious needs of the community. [Research by Joan Hotson]
