William Robert Eakin

 

Vice-President and Managing Director, McLean Kennedy, Ltd., Steamship Brokers and Agents, 20 St. Nicholas Street, Montreal. Born County of Monaghan, Ireland, Feb. 15, 1873, son of Robert and Sarah Jane (Strain) Eakin. Educated: Ireland. Came to Canada at age of twenty-one and joined the firm of McLean Kennedy Co.; in the year 1915, the McLean Kennedy Co. became a limited company; appointed Vice-President and Managing Director, 1915; Member, Montreal Board of Trade; Member, Council, 1914-15; Member, Montreal Corn Exchange Association. Married Barbara Winning Hamilton, Montreal, 1900; has two sons and one daughter. Clubs: Canada; Lake of Two Mountains Yacht; Whitlock Golf; Summerlea Golf; St. James's. Presbyterian. Residence: 572 Roslyn Ave., Westmount, Que.
