Sisters of St. Joseph

Sisters of St. Joseph (Little Daughters of St. Joseph). The Little Daughters of St. Joseph, established at 2,333 West Sherbrooke street, Montreal, were founded by the Sulpician, Antoine Mercier, with the object of aiding in spiritual and temporal matters, both by the ministry of prayer and by discharging certain manual services, such as the confection of liturgical vestments and ornaments, the mending and bleaching of the linen used in the altar service, etc. This congregation also helps poor seminaries and missionaries. At present it numbers 10 houses and 200 members.
