Sir Mortimer Barnett Davis
President, Imperial Tobacco Co. of Canada, Ltd.; Chairman of the Board, Canadian Industrial Alcohol Co., Ltd., Montreal. Born Montreal, 1866. Educated: High School, Montreal. At an early age he entered his father's business, S. Davis & Sons, Cigar Manufacturers, and through his enterprising activities the Imperial Tobacco Company resulted. Sir Mortimer also was instrumental in establishing the Canadian-grown tobacco industry, spending much time and capital in experimenting in this field. Despite his many commercial interests, he always finds time to share in public welfare activities and is a never failing source of generous assistance. Residence: 516 Pine Avenue W., Montreal.
