Laval-sur-le-Lac

Laval-des-Rapides, a town in Laval county, Quebec , on the north bank of the Rivière des Prairies and on the Canadian Pacific Railway, about 9 miles from Montreal , and 214 miles from Hull . Originally part of the parish of St. Martin and known as Parc Laval, it was established as a separate town in 1902, and received its present name from the cataract of rapids falling directly opposite to the site on which it stands. It is chiefly a residential centre and the summer resort of many Montreal families. There are several religious institutions established in the town.

Laval-sur-le-Lac, a town in Laval county, Quebec, at the western extremity of Ile Jésus, and on the Canadian National Railway. It is chiefly a country resort, with a magnificent beach and a golf course.
