Henry Erastus Bell, J.P.

 

Manager, The E. B. Eddy Co., Ltd., 70 St. Peter Street, Montreal. Manufacturers of paper of all kinds, paper bags, matches, washboards, indurated fibreware, etc. Born Shawbridge, P.Q., Feb. 4, 1874, son of William and Annie (Cleary) Bell. Educated: Shawbridge and Montreal. Learned the printing trade previous to commencing with the Royal Paper Mills at Montreal. With the Royal Paper Mills for three years. Commenced with the E. B. Eddy Co., Feb., 1903, as Salesman; appointed Manager of the Montreal Branch, Feb., 1916. Member, Canadian Manufacturers' Assoc.; Member, Montreal Board of Trade; Member, Commercial Travellers' Assoc.; Member, Canadian Forestry Association. Married Mabel E. Tuff, Montreal , Feb. 22, 1916 ; has one daughter, Shirley E. Bell. Clubs: Canada ; Canadian; Life Member, M.A.A.A.; St. George's ; Sherbrooke ; Rangers Fish and Game; Laurentian Mountains . Societies: A.F. & A.M. (Royal Victoria Lodge); British Canadian. Residence: 74 King Edward Ave., Montreal.
