Antoine Louis Juchereau Duchesnay

 

Duchesnay, Antoine Louis Juchereau (1767-1825), legislative and executive councillor of Lower Canada, was born at Quebec on February 18, 1767, the eldest son of Antoine juchereau Duchesnay. In 1804 he was elected to represent the county of Hampshire (Portneuf) in the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada; and in 1810 he was appointed a member of the Legislative Council. He died suddenly at his manor-house of Beauport on February 17, 1825. In 1793 he married Marie-Louise Fleury de la Gorgendière; and by her he had seven children. See P. G.
