Born Liverpool, England, Jan. 1st, 1880. Son of Joseph and Fanney (Bach) Alexandor. Educated: Public and Private Schools; also Collegiate at Liverpool and Wolverhampton , England . Comes of an old "fur" family, actively engaged in the fur business throughout the world; his mother direct descendant of Bach, the musician. Apprenticed to fur business with J. Marks & Sons, of Birmingham, England. Came to Canada in 1900, starting present business in a small way, which has now developed into a large wholesale business and operating a chain of retail stores. Member of the Montreal Board of Trade; Governor, Montreal General Hospital; Member of the Canadian Reconstruction Association recently formed for the purpose of dealing with all economic questions; Member of the Canadian Manufacturers' Assoc.; Member, Conciliation Board, Fur Manufacturers' Association. Married Bessie Morris, daughter of M. L. Morris, Westmount , Que., 1904. Has two sons and one daughter. Clubs: Montifiore; Canadian. Society: Royal Colonial Institute, London , Eng. Recreations: Golf, tennis and reading. Is a student of historic and research literature. Hebrew. Residence: 613 Victoria Ave., Westmount , Que.
