Michael Joseph Ahern
AHERN, Michael Joseph, B.L., B.C.L., K.C. - Advocate, of Ahern & Morin, 111 Mountain Hill, Quebec, Que. Born Montreal, May 24, 1878, son of John Ahern and Isabella (Gaherty). Educated: Commercial Academy, Montreal; Normal School, Quebec, and Laval University. After graduation formed partnership with Arthur Lachance, K.C., M.P., now Chief Justice of the Police Court, District of Quebec; after dissolution of that partnership, formed present firm with M. Morin & E. Morin, carrying on a general legal practice in Quebec City. Appointed Secretary of Quebec Public Service Commission at its creation in 1909, which position he still holds; President, St. Patrick's Literary Institute, 1912-14. Married Louise Marie Benoit, Oct. 2, 1907; has two sons and two daughters. Clubs: Quebec Yacht Club; Quebec Ski Club. Recreations: Yachting, fishing, shooting and skiing. Liberal. Roman Catholic. Residence: 21 Fraser Street, Quebec, Que.
