Sisters of the Holy Childhood of Jesus and Mary
Sisters of the Holy Childhood of Jesus and Mary (Sainte-Chrétienne). This Congregation was founded by Mgr. Jouffret and Mme. de Mejanès at Metz, Lorraine, in 1807. It is engaged in education, and administers charity. At the request of the Abbé Lapointe of St. Malachy, Quebec, the Congregation obtained, in 1914, permission from Cardinal Bégin (q.v.) to establish a house in Canada.
