Robert Ellice
Ellice, Robert (d. 1790), merchant, was a younger brother of Alexander Ellice, who was taken into the firm of Phyn, Ellice and Co. in Schenectady in 1768. From 1779 to 1790 he was in charge of the Montreal office of the firm, which was known as Robert Ellice and Co., and in 1787 he became a partner in the London firm of Phyn, Ellices, and Inglis.
