Neuville
Neuville, a village in Portneuf county, Quebec, on the north bank of the St. Lawrence river, 3 miles from Neuville station on the Canadian Pacific Railway. The parish is named Pointe-aux-Trembles; but, because of confusion with Pointe-aux-Trembles on the island of Montreal, the village was named Neuville when it was incorporated in 1919, after the Sieur de Neuville, one of the early seigniors. The chief industries of the neighbourhood are dairying, fruit-growing, and market-gardening; and it is also a summer resort. Source: W.
