Mrs Elizabeth Dowling Drummond

Born Philadelphia, Penn. ; daughter of Rev. Dr. Geo. T. Dowling and Mary Justin Dowling. Educated: Private schools; Boston University (Ph.B.). Married Arthur Lennox Drummond (deceased 1916), Sept. 1st, 1898 ; has one son, George Arthur, and three daughters, Dorothea, Helen and Lesley. Prior to husband's death, and owing to his ill health, winters were spent in Colorado where the time was pleasantly spent in hunting, fishing, riding, etc. President of Visiting Nurses Association and active in public work. Takes active interest in children and has trained them in many little musical operettas. Took up permanent residence in Montreal in 1916 and shared in war work; Vice-President of the Navy League; President, Women's Canadian Club; Lady in Charge of Belmont Park Khaki Home; Member of Red Cross and Khaki League; Vice-President of the Victory Loan Campaign; member, Victorian Order of Nurses and Girl Guides; Chairman of the first Women's Committee for the Financial Federation of Charities. Recreation Music. Clubs and Societies: Alpha Phi; Women's Canadian; Themis; Winter; Monteregian. Protestant. Residence: 302 Peel Street, Montreal.
