Louis Charland
Charland, Louis (1772-1813), surveyor and cartographer, was born at Quebec, Lower Canada, the son of Alexis Charland and Marie Poulin, on April 7, 1772 ; and died at Montreal about September 1, 1813. He was, with William Vondenvelden, joint author of the first exact map of Lower Canada, published in London in 1813, and he prepared valuable plans of Quebec and Montreal. Source : W.
