John Fair
FAIR, John, B.C.L., - of Fair & Cameron, Notaries, 2 Place d'Armes, Montreal. Born Hamilton, Ont., Feb. 12, 1857, son of John Fair and Catherine C. Rowat. Educated: High School, Montreal, and McGill University. Began practice as Notary in 1883, with the late Ernest Stuart; from 1892 to 1904 with the late William McLennan. Present firm of Fair & Cameron is continuation of original firm. Notary for Bank of Montreal. Governor of Fraser Institute. Officer of Sixth Fusiliers, Montreal, 1877-1884. Married Louisa M. Rankin, 1893; has one daughter Louisa Margaret. Club: University. Presbyterian. Residence: 207 Mansfield Street, Montreal, and "Abernor," St. Andrews, Que.
