Gilles Lauzon
Lauzon, Gilles (1631-1687), colonist, was born at Caën, Normandy, in 1631, and emigrated to Canada with Marguerite Bourgeoys in 1653. He settled in Montreal, and died there on September 21, 1687. In 1656 he married Marie Archambault; and he has to-day a large number of descendants in Canada. He was not related in any way to jean de Lauzon. See Rev. I.
