MISS GERTRUDE ALICE CLERGUE
Montreal . Born Bangor, Maine, daughter of Joseph Hector Clergue and Frances Lombard Clergue. Educated Bangor, Me. and at Melles Thibault's School in Paris, France. Co-author with Grace Clergue Harrison of Allied Cookery published Montreal and New York, 1916, and in Paris , 1918; proceeds went to relief of inhabitants of devastated regions in France. Awarded the Médaille de la Reconnaissance Française, 1920. President of the Montreal Women's Club 1921-3. Clubs: Montreal Women's Press Club; Winter Club; Tennis and Badminton Club; Mt. Bruno Country Club; Castine Golf Club; Shakespeare Club (Bangor, Me.); The Colony Club (ICY.). Anglican. Residence: 597 Sherbrooke Street W., Montreal.
