Franciscan Missionaries of Mary
Franciscan Missionaries of Mary were founded in India by a French sister, and follow the rule of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis. In Canada the sisters have seven houses: two are located in Quebec, and the others at Ste. Anne de Beaupré, Quebec, St. Lawrence and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Montreal and Rigaud, Quebec. The congregation is essentially interested in missionary work at home and abroad. Since its establishment in Canada, it has had over 300 members, many of whom are now engaged in mission work in China, Japan, India, Ceylon, Congo, Zululand, Natal, and South America. The order is widely spread all over the world, and is one of the largest orders- of women in the Roman Catholic world. Source : W.
