Fort Wellington

 

Fort Wellington, a military fort built by the British in 1812-3 at Prescott, Upper Canada. It was a centre of defence between Montreal and Kingston. The remains of the fort have been preserved by the Canadian government. See Fort Wellington, Prescott, Ontario (Ottawa, Department of the Interior, Historic Sites Series, No. 7, 1929).
