Fort Sandusky
Fort Sandusky, a French post built about 1750 at the head of Sandusky bay, in lake Erie, at the outlet of the Sandusky river, a few miles west of the present city of Sandusky, Ohio. It was surrendered to the British forces at the cession of Canada ; and on May 16, 1763, the fort was captured by Pontiac, and the garrison murdered. Source : W.
