Fort Nelson
Fort Nelson, a Hudson's Bay Company's post on the right bank of the Nelson river, a tributary of the Liard river, about one hundred miles from its mouth. It was built about 1800, but was destroyed by the Indians in 1825, when some of its inmates were massacred. It was rebuilt in 1865, and is still occupied. Source : W.
