Mrs. James H. (Ellagene Johnson) Elliott
Born St. Lawrence County, New York. Educated at Potsdam, N.Y. For many years Mrs. Elliott has been interested in the social service work among the members of the "Mothers' Guild" of the West End Mission, this being her special labor of love, showing the work of a great hearted woman. During the World War she shared largely in the war work of the American Women's Red Cross Circle at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Clubs and Societies: Montreal Women's Club (2nd Vice-President and Representative on Parks and Playgrounds Committee); American Women's Club (2nd Vice-President, Supt. of Social Service Dept., and Representative to Child Welfare, Mothers' Aid and Family Welfare Organizations); Deaconess Aid Society (President); Ladies' Aid Society of Douglas Church (President); Secretary for ten years of the Women's Missionary Society of Douglas Church. Married James H. Elliott of Belleville, Ont., Oct. 25, 1887. Residence: 42 Fort Street, Montreal.
