Edson Joseph Chamberlin

 

Chamberlin, Edson Joseph (1852-1924), president of the Grand Trunk Railway (1912-17), was born in Lancaster, New Hampshire, on August 25, 1852 . He was educated at the Montpelier Methodist Seminary, and in 1871 entered the service of a New England railway. In 1886 he became general manager of the Canada Atlantic Railway, and in 1909 general manager and vice-president of the Grand Trunk Railway. In 1912 he became president of this railway, but he resigned in 1917. He died at Pasadena, California, on August 27, 1924.
