Donald Fraser

Fraser, Donald (1826-1892), clergyman and author, was born in Inverness, Scotland, on January 15, 1826, the son of John Fraser, afterwards commissioner in Canada of the British North American Land Company. He was educated at the University of Aberdeen (M.A., D.D., 1872), and studied divinity at Knox College, Toronto, and New College, Edinburgh. He was ordained in 1851 a minister of the Presbyterian Church in Canada ; and from 1851 to 1859 he wash minister of the Coté St. Presbyterian Church in Montreal . He then accepted a charge in Inverness, Scotland, and in 1870 he became minister of the Marylebone Presbyterian Church in London, England. He died in London on February 13, 1892. While in Canada he published Leaves from a minister's portfolio (Montreal, 1858).
