Coteau-Landing
Coteau Landing, a village in Soulanges county, Quebec, on the shore of lake St: Francis, about a mile south of the entrance to the Soulanges canal. The name comes from the fact that on the shore of lake St. Francis there used to be a landing-place, situated at the foot of a hillock (coteau); and around this landing-place the village has grown up. The village is about ½ miles from Coteau Junction on the Canadian National Railway, where there is an important car repair shop. Source : W.
