Contemplative Nuns of the Dominican Order
Contemplative Nuns of the Dominican Order, a religious order founded by St. Dominic at Notre Dame de Prouille, France, in 1205. This order, which is strictly cloistered, is given up entirely to a contemplative and devotional life. Its first Canadian establishment dates from 1925 and is located at Berthierville, Quebec.
