Charles Eusèbe Dionne

 

Dionne, Charles Eusèbe (1846-1925), naturalist, was born at St. Denis de la Bouteillerie, Quebec, on July 11, 1846, the son of Eusèbe Dionne and Emélie Lavoie. In 1882 he was appointed director of the zoological museum of Laval University, Quebec; and he died at Quebec on January 25, 1925. He contributed many papers to the Auk and to the Naturaliste canadien, and he was the author of Les oiseaux du Canada (Quebec, 1883), Catalogue des oiseaux de la province de Québec (Quebec, 1889), Les mammifères de la province de Québec (Quebec, 1902), Les oiseaux de la province de Québec (Quebec, 1906) , and Nos araignées (Quebec, 1910).
