Allan Edson
Edson, Allan (1846-1888), landscape painter, was born at Stanbridge, Missisquoi county, Lower Canada, in 1848. He studied painting in Paris, France, under Pelouse; and on his return to Canada he became a charter member of the Royal Canadian Academy and of the Ontario Society of Artists. He died in 1888.
