French Canadians and Jews
Demands
Made by the Notre-Dame Strikers As
outlined in Le Devoir, Monday June 18, 1934, p. 3 We
have learned that the internes of Notre-Dame Hospital have laid the following
conditions to return to their normal duties at the hospital: 1.
That the Jew Rabinovitch be officially dismissed, and that copies of the documents
to this effect be transmitted to them. 2.
That absolute impunity be granted to each and every one of the internes. 3.
That the official response be transmitted to them without undue delay "dans
un delai raisonnable". The
internes also announced that the strike would be automatic and revolving. If sanctions
are exercised against one or the other of the strikers, there will immediately
be another strike. ©
